ABOUT SQCDP

Built from factory life.
Shaped by the people
doing the work.

We believe digitalisation should make a good manufacturing process easier to run—and give more people the clarity and time to improve it.

SQCDP brings practical manufacturing experience, frontline feedback and a growing engineering network together around one goal: help factory teams improve sooner.

MEET MITCH

A manufacturing career.
A problem worth solving.

Stephen “Mitch” Mitchell brings more than 30 years of manufacturing experience to SQCDP. His journey began as an apprentice electrician at Nestlé, followed by engineering, maintenance and operational leadership experience with businesses including BAE Systems and Coca-Cola.

Across factory environments, the pattern was familiar: operators recorded useful information, but paper systems and repeated data entry delayed the point at which anyone could use it.

Mitch learned to code and built an early version of SQCDP to address that problem. Working with factory teams turned the idea into a product centred on simple capture, shared visibility and practical action.

WHAT THAT EXPERIENCE TAUGHT US

01

Start with the operator.

The information needs to be easy to capture alongside the physical work.

02

Make it useful immediately.

Managers and teams need a clearer view, with less chasing and duplication.

03

Help people own the routine.

The product should support consistent behaviours and increasingly autonomous teams.

OUR JOURNEY

From factory frustration
to a shared improvement tool.

We are building a consistent product that manufacturers can configure and own, supported by the experience of the people using it.

  1. THE PROBLEM

    Useful information, trapped in administration.

Shop-floor records existed, but turning them into an up-to-date view required collection, transcription and repeated follow-up.

  2. THE FIRST PRODUCT

Capture once. Make the shift visible.

The early app brought frontline data into a shared digital process, creating the foundation for live views and more useful reviews.

  3. LEARNING IN FACTORIES

Build the routine with the people using it.

Operator feedback, administrator experience and management reviews have shaped the workflows, terminology, nudges and escalation options.

  4. THE NEXT CHAPTER

    Make digitalisation more accessible.

Supported Launch, customer-configurable routines and AI-assisted analysis help teams take the next step without needing a large bespoke installation.

RECOGNITION ALONG THE WAY

Independent recognition.
Practical ambition.

Awards and industry recognition mark progress in our journey. The everyday test remains whether SQCDP helps factory teams work more effectively.

SHAPED BY FACTORY TEAMS

Developed through use.
Improved through listening.

Customers, trial participants and development contributors play different roles in our journey. Their feedback helps us understand the work, test the routines and improve the product.

CUSTOMER & FRONTLINE LEARNING
Senstronics logoSenstronics

A customer journey that has informed how we support digital management routines as teams mature.

From recording the shift to responding together.

At Senstronics, use developed from retrospective reporting towards more live capture. Configurable escalation triggers were introduced as the local team became ready to use them.

That experience reinforces a central principle for SQCDP: adoption grows through the team’s routines and confidence, rather than through switching on every feature at once.

RECOGNISING CUSTOMER PROGRESS

The data matters.
So do the people.

Our customer milestone recognition celebrates the participation and consistency behind a digital management routine. Senstronics’ SQCDP Gold Award marked one million production data points.

That milestone recognises a team making the process part of everyday work. Data volume alone is not proof of improved performance: success is also judged against the outcomes and measures agreed with each customer.
